Annual Grants
The Charity Ball Association funds well-defined and specific projects designed to support and enhance the quality of life for the children of Bexar County.
The Charity Ball Association observes two distinct funding policies. The majority of our funds are distributed through our annual grant process. The Children's Opportunity Fund is essentially an emergency fund used to meet immediate and critical needs.
The Charity Ball Association strictly adheres to our Funding Policies, as well as the established deadlines. Late or nonconforming applications will be disqualified.

Our Grant Process
The majority of our funds are distributed through the annual grant process. The process and timeframe are generally the same year to year. Updates for the year are posted every September. Charities seeking funds should:

Attend mandatory workshop (Fall)

Submit Letter of Interest (November)

If selected, submit Proposal (January)

Prepare for a visit by, or presentation to, the Charities Committee (Spring)

Look for notification of awarded grants (May)

2022 Children Benefit Always
Significant Impact Gift
The 2022 Children Benefit Always Significant Impact Gift is a major grant opportunity that will fund up to $1,000,000 in 2022 to one Bexar County organization or organizations for an important project or program that will make a significant impact on a critical need of local children. The application process has closed. The grant award will be announced in December of 2022.
