Our Charitable Focus

Building solid foundations for Bexar County's children creates assets for its future.

History

Founders of the CBA saw the gaps in funding for children from the Community Chest and government agencies. They decided to fill the gaps, particularly by focusing on "bricks and mortar" projects that were in critical demand.

• They funded additions and renovations to orphanages, schools for special needs, and hospitals.
• They built playgrounds, they built gymnasiums.
• They bought stoves, beds and refrigerators and painted dorms.

The total sum given to more than 200 children's charities by The Charity Ball Association to date is over $25 million dollars.  All charities are carefully screened for selection each year.
